The Four States Ag Expo hosts a variety of educational seminars, certification classes, information sessions and more in our Ag Summit. Each year we focus on hot topics that are affecting our area and surrounding areas. Such as drought, weed management & new laws. Also provided are new techniques to both small and large farmers & Ranchers, by helping them to understand, land & crop management, marketing, and livestock skills.
Weed Symposium. This workshop will offer Continuing Education Credits for Colorado and New Mexico Applicators holding both Commercial and Private Applicators Licenses. Credits offered will be all 7 core credits, an Ag Weeds, a Rangeland Weeds, and Industrial Right-of-Way.
9am – 10:50am . “Hemp Update and Panel Discussion”. First 30 minutes: Presentation by Dr. Abdel Berrada of Mesa Verde Ag Solutions. Topics will include: hemp definition & uses, research highlights, rules & regulations, markets, suppliers, and processors
Next 60 minutes: panel discussion producers and businesses from the area to share their experiences growing, processing or marketing hemp. & Dr. Katie Russell of CSU-SWCRC.
